The Multi-Sensory Experience of Denver's New ART Hotel

Headed to Denver anytime soon? Imagine making your lodging arrangements inside an art gallery. Well that’s exactly what Denver’s highly anticipated luxury hotel, The ART, aims to do. And the hotel is now open for business, blending premier luxury accommodations with a multi-sensory art experience.  

The ART’s in-house curator, Dianne Vanderlip, has put together a collection of over 40 pieces that boast the “who’s who” of modern art.

When guests arrive, they are greeted from the streets of downtown by a custom installation by Leo Villareal—the well-known artist behind the San Francisco Bay Bridge’s “Bay Lights.” Villareal’s piece was made of 22,000 LED light bulbs that draw attention from Broadway into the hotel’s Portico Galley.

From the gallery, guests take an elevator ride adorned with avant-garde video art by Lars Kremer to the fourth floor, where the Welcome Gallery displays large-scale masterpieces by Ed Ruscha, Deborah Butterfield and Nancy Rubins.
