Sun Valley, Idaho, is a year-round vacation destination. There’s killer skiing in the winter and world-class rafting in the summer. Visitors can enjoy a trail ride with a real cowboy, go fishing, biking, hiking or just relax with the family.

Despite a wild summer rodeo series and lots of big trucks and big hats, Steamboat Springs has a refined side that is on full display during Steamboat Wine Festival. Held each August, the festival has grown into a destination event that includes master winemakers and culinary celebs.
This is a stay-and-play sort of event that invites guests to enjoy a long list of wine-centric activities throughout the five-day festival. There’s everything from hiking outings with mimosa to Wine on the Nine, a Best Ball tournament with a nice wine finish.

The Wenatchee Valley is an agricultural paradise in Eastern Washington that’s a well known apple-growing area. This dynamic region includes desert vistas, Columbia River beaches and the forests of the Cascade Mountain Range.
Washington State is a great place to celebrate wine. The first grapes were planted in Washington in 1825, and by 1920, grapes were growing in many areas of the Evergreen State (source: WashingtonWine.org).
The Wenatchee Wine & Food Festival is a judged event where a panel of highly qualified industry experts determine which regional wines are the best. If you are a fan of Washington Wine, you won’t want to miss this event. Go to WenatcheeWineandFood.com for additional details.

North Lake Tahoe
Where better to celebrate wine than in California, the apex of American wine country? Tucked between the Sierra Nevada mountains and Lake Tahoe, Northstar California Resort in laid-back Truckee, California, is the site of Lake Tahoe’s premiere food and wine event.

This three-day festival is a celebration of wine, farm-to-table cuisine, distilling, barbecue and much more. Guests who stay for the entire event will be treated to a different selection of wines on each day of the festival.
While the wine is for adults, the Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival caters to children, as well. Last year’s schedule of events included a Kid’s Cook-Off and Kid’s Zone, so bring the entire family.
