2017 Summit County Parade of Homes: Event Recap
Home tour aficionados romped around Summit County in the crisp fall air and among the changing foliage during the annual Parade of Homes, presented by the Summit County Builders Association.

Tour-goers had the chance to walk through 17 gorgeous single and multi-family homes, custom homes, mountain modern homes, renovated cabins, and more.
All of the single-family homes in the Summit County Parade of Homes are custom homes with their own unique architectural design, construction elements and interior design.
Mountain Living had the honor of judging the Peak Award, recognizing the highest level of excellence in high-country home design. At the ceremony in Silverthorne, Colorado, we presented the 2017 award to Pinnacle Mountain Homes for their home project at 1062 Beeler Place in Copper Mountain.

This 6,600-square-foot-home has five levels, eight baths and comfortable sleeping for 28 people in seven bedrooms. The architecture, construction and interior design worked beautiful together to efficiently utilize every square inch of this thoughtfully planned layout.

The public was also invited to vote on the 2017 People's Choice Award, and the winner was Home #14 by a landslide!

This dramatic mountain retreat was built with a modern aesthetic while providing a comfortable living environment in harmony with natural beauty that surrounds it. Clean lines, avant-garde design choices, and state-of-the-art electronics come together with a generous use of natural materials and luxurious finishes.
One hundred percent of the $20 admission cost to the Summit County Parade of Homes is donated to the local community charity, The Summit Foundation. This organization funds hundreds of non-profits and student scholarships throughout the year. They distribute well over $2,000,000 a year in grants in Summit County and the neighboring communities. Although the final numbers are not in yet, it is estimated that the Parade will donate more than $40,000 to The Summit Foundation from proceeds from this year’s four-day, two-weekend event!
