This hotel ranked tops in the Mountain West

Mountain Living readers are no strangers to mountain travel–from ski resort trips and hot springs getaways to glamping and luxurious, off-the-grid vacations, we’re always on the lookout for the coolest spots to visit and stay.

U.S. News & World Report scored more than 30,000 hotels across the world for their 2021 Best Hotels Rankings, and a Colorado hotel made it in the top 20.

The Little Nell scored Colorado’s highest ranking on the list, also coming in at No. 12 nationally.

Magazine officials determined the rankings by analyzing facilities based on reputation among travel experts, guest reviews and hotel class ratings. Hotels that scored in the top 10 percent of the Best Hotels in the USA earned a Gold badge. Hotels that appear after ranked hotels are sorted by hotel class and then by user rating, as provided by TripAdvisor.

Among the innovations at The Little Nell are a new Wine Bar, which debuted in December 2020 to great success; The Little Nell Bar Cart – a cocktail delivery service for guests at the hotel and Residences at The Little Nell; Nourish by The Nell, a takeout service offering favorites from the Element 47, Ajax Tavern and room service menus; as well as developing the Nurturing + Safety Program to ensure compliance and support with new policies set in place for guests and employees.
