The first-ever Legacy Awards commenced on April 25 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Denver, where mountain design enthusiasts all gathered to celebrate the 25-year milestone for Mountain Living magazine, and to acknowledge the professionals who have contributed to the legacy of mountain home design.

The inaugural Legacy Award winners were selected from all over the Rocky Mountain West, and include architects, interior designers, landscape architects, furniture craftsmen and lighting designers who have been in the industry for 15-plus years. Their contributions have inspired, created and shaped residential design all over this region, and continue to enhance the quality of living in these areas. With that, Mountain Living felt it was only appropriate to pay homage to these professionals, without whom we wouldn’t have beautiful homes to feature.

After some small snacks and cocktails, Advertising Director Maggie Swift, Publisher Holly Scott and Editor-in-Chief Darla Worden kicked off the award presentation with a video revealing how Mountain Living came to fruition. Following, Holly and Darla presented the honor to each Legacy Award winner and highlighted each individual’s impact on the design community.

ML’s very own Art Director, Loneta Showell, also celebrated her 25th anniversary with the magazine, helping to develop the brand since its inception.

Once the presentation concluded, attendees noshed on delicious bites, imbibed cocktails and connected with other industry partners visiting Denver from all over the Rocky Mountain West.

Presenting Sponsor Organic Looms, Premier Sponsors Alpine Mountain Ranch, Francois & Co, Miner Real Estate Team, Rare Finds, Shaeffer Hyde, Luxury Division of Pella and Patron Sponsors Diamond Spas, Brickwerks and Benjamin Moore & Co all contributed in making the event a success.
