Highlights from the 2019 Concours d'Elegance

The Lake Tahoe boating show delivers another spectacular display

Even in its 47th year, Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance hasn’t missed a step. Held at Obexer’s Boat Company, visiting boat-enthusiasts got the chance to tour through the impressive array of wooden yachts on Lake Tahoe at the two-day event on August 9-10, 2019.

Bringing in judges from all over the country, each of the submitted boat projects were evaluated on a 100-point scale based on authenticity. Nearly 70 colorful, exquisite wooden boats were on display and the event kicked off with an opening night dinner gala full of good eats, dancing and a fashion show. 

In addition to the boat show, The Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation also brings awareness to the conservation of the deep-blue Lake that the event is held on. With over $300,000 raised so far for the organization, they have been able to give back to maritime and environmental causes for the lake.
