We were just reading about Japanese architect and architectural historian Terunobu Fujimori and came across this photo, which stopped us in our tracks. We’ve seen sod roofs before, but never quite like this.

Grass and dandelions bloom on the roof (pictured here) and walls (which are clad with volcanic rock siding) of Fujimori’s own residence, the Tanpopo (Dandelion) House, which he designed in 1995.
