Deck the Halls With Blanchford Landscape Group

Professionally decking the halls is the norm for Blanchford Landscape Group. In the Big Sky and Bozeman markets, the high-end landscapers not only make yards beautiful but create festive indoor and outdoor holiday scenes. During the Christmas season, Blanchford offers a custom decor experience for luxury clientele. 

We sat down with owner Andy Blanchford and account manager Carrie Rule to learn more about their holiday decor services. 

How would you describe the holiday season in Big Sky?

CR: It’s your classic ski town during the holiday season vibe. There are lights strung outside with wreaths and decor in every house. Vacationers are in town taking advantage of the ski season, so it becomes a lively time of year. 

Carrie, tell us about the process of decorating a home for the holidays.

CR: It begins with an initial meeting with the client or property manager. We meet in person to walk around the exterior and interior of the home to get an idea of what we’re working with. As we tour the property, I take measurements and photos while making recommendations on what would work best given the client’s goals. Then, we send off a proposal and schedule a time to break down what it includes. Once we get approval, we put things into production. Installation takes several phases since we have teams doing the exterior and interior.

What are your most popular holiday decor pieces?

AB: Our clients tend to adore our live products, from garlands to actual Christmas trees. We also offer poinsettias and other seasonal flowers to liven up the space.

What’s the most memorable holiday installation you’ve done?

CR: We once strapped a 15-ft Christmas tree in with a harness and pulley to get it inside the upstairs of a house. It didn’t fit in the elevator! It shows that if you dream it, we will help you achieve it.
