Crested Butte Arts Festival Success
The Crested Butte Arts Festival celebrated its 46th year with a wide variety of featured artists, exquisite cuisine, exhilarating entertainment, artist demonstrations, children’s activities and a fantastic art auction!
Lined along historic Elk Avenue in Crested Butte were approximately 150 juried artists representing a wide variety of mediums and talents in 12 different categories, including ceramics, digital art, drawing and graphic arts, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture and wood.
The music lineup was eclectic and fun, with performances by Latin gypsy band Viva La Noche, Ragged Mountain Bluegrass, Roma Ransom, Blue Recluse and more. New this year: the festival opened with a dance ceremony performed by the Crested Butte School of Dance.
The Children’s Art Alley, a free art tent for kids that offers a variety of projects, including Kumihimo weaving, model magic, jewelry design, squirt gun painting, and more was a huge success, giving kiddos a place for fun and art-filled activities throughout the weekend.
Colorado Homes and Lifestyles and Mountain Living teamed up with Mountain Colors Paint Store + Design Shop the 2018 Art of Living Design Suite to create a space offering inspiration from local design experts!
