Congratulations to Rowland + Broughton!

The Aspen- and Denver-based firm recently received seven ASID Colorado Crystal Awards and is celebrating 15 years of architecture

Each year, I look forward to the American Society of Interior Designers Colorado Chapter Crystal Awards. Held at the Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, it’s a night of mingling, great food and a visual feast of award-winning projects. This year, the ASID Colorado Chapter celebrated the awards 20th anniversary with a lively Roaring 20s theme.

ASID members submit entries in commercial, residential and hospitality design, posing a challenge for the judges who must choose a winner from so many beautiful projects. During the 2018 event, Aspen- and Denver-based Rowland + Broughton was a dominant player, recognized with seven awards.

I had the opportunity to chat with Sarah Broughton in Aspen earlier this year when she participated in a panel discussion at the Aspen Art Museum as the closing event of the annual Architecture Lecture Series. (link to On location post) She radiates enthusiasm for architecture.

That conversation sparked an idea for a story about Sarah and Rowland + Broughton that appears in our August 2018 issue. The firm is celebrating 15 years of architecture and looking forward to many more.

It was fortuitous timing that the August story, something that went into production months ago, appeared around the time of the ASID awards. Congratulations Sarah, and the whole team at Rowland + Broughton on your inspiring past and very exciting future!
