It began with a quest for the perfect bathtub. But when Stephanie Bennett met her now-husband, Tom, a welder from the age of 17, in Frederick, Colorado, that dream became reality, and in 1996 the duo founded Diamond Spas to share their stainless-steel body-conforming baths with the world—expanding into custom spas and pools three years later.

These days, their entirely bespoke creations are making a splash from Manhattan rooftops to the decks of super yachts to luxe high-country retreats like the Yellowstone Club. Still fabricated in Frederick from sustainable, ultra-durable recycled stainless steel or copper, their aquatic vessels’ variations are limited only by imagination—becoming our pick for putting mountain homes in the swim. The stainless-steel pool shown includes a sun shelf, interior stairway, bench seating, swim-up bar, an adjustable-current swim spa system, five arc-spouting laminar jet water features, LED lighting and an automatic cover; 193” x 402” x 69”, around $350,000.
