A Rancher's Paradise in Montana

Located 10 miles south of Livingston on the east side of the appropriately named Paradise Valley, this Montana ranch—dubbed Dancing Wind Ranch—is a mountain-lover’s haven through and through.

The property is comprised of approximately 1,750 acres of all-deeded land in the most lush section of the valley. It runs just off the main north/south highway at an elevation of 4,800 feet, where the operating headquarters and 495 acres of meadows are located, to the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness boundary at over 6,700 feet elevation. The headquarters area includes two homes, a shop, helicopter storage, calving barn, and corrals that support the entirely self-contained 230-cow ranching operation.

Travel up the ranch to the 8,031-square-foot Owner’s Residence, a custom stone home and classic wood barn sited over a spring-fed trout pond. Designed by Livingston architect Jonathan Foote and built by On Site Management, the home includes over 2,100 square feet of granite slab patios and dramatic views up the canyon into the Absaroka Mountains.
