A Labor Day Weekend Fit for Foodies
The 14th Annual Gourmet on Gore is serving world-class eats from Vail and beyond
Summers in Vail Valley could give the winter ski season a run for its money with warming golden sunshine, flower-covered mountaintops and plein-air patio dining.
Vail’s Gourmet on Gore invites wanderlusters to celebrate this atmosphere at its annual food tasting experience over Labor Day Weekend.
Here are our top picks on what to do (and taste) on the Gore for the three-day fest.
4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
East Meadow Drive | Willow Bridge Road | Vail Village
Complimentary Admission, Pay-as-you-go for foods
An urban spin on the typically outdoor-centric fest, this newest addition is providing a bounty of food trucks ready to serve within Vail Village. Expect plenty of boozy drinks, live music and tasty eats from sushi to barbecue, all in the town’s cultural epicenter.
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Mountain Plaza Lawn | Base of Gondola One | Vail Village
Debating whether to eat extravagant fare or to explore in the mountains? Fear not, you can do both at this Trail to Table hiking event. Walkable for any skill set, the morning kicks off with fueling breakfast bites and then concludes with a gourmet lunch presented by Ketel One Botanical Vodka. The obvious bonus: picturesque peaks serving the view.
August 31 and September 1
11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Gathering up some of the most sought after restaurants, the Village will transform into a marketplace showcasing a wide variety of delicious bites. Local and esteemed eateries will deliver the goods, with many wines, beers and spirits readily awaiting for imbibing.
