Big Sky becomes wine country for two evenings in September 2026 with the introduction of the Vintner Series at the One&Only Moonlight Basin resort. Offering a setting that feels distinctly different from a traditional wine destination, the resort is set across 240-acres and provides a remarkable alpine backdrop for intimate wine evenings.

“The Vintner Series grew naturally from our vision for the culinary wine program,” says Patrick Reynaud, head sommelier at One&Only Moonlight Basin. “We wanted to create experiences that celebrate Montana’s seasonal bounty while introducing guests to exceptional wines from both near and far.” The series is a collection of intimate, upscale winemaker dinners showcasing world-class estates paired with gourmet alpine-crafted menus at The Landing and Wildwood, both located at the resort.

Hundred Acre Wines will be the featured winery on September 4th, and a focus on Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is scheduled for September 25th. Each evening brings acclaimed chefs, winemakers, and food lovers together for an unforgettable weekend in the mountains.

Hundred Acre Wines was founded in 2000 by Jayson Woodbridge. An ultra-premium cult winery in Napa Valley, California, it is renowned for its 100 percent single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons that often earn perfect 100-point scores from renowned wine critics. Located at the foot of Howell Mountain in California’s Napa Valley, Hundred Acre was named after the forest where fictional character, Winnie the Pooh, lives with his friends.

The Château Ducru-Beaucaillou Winery is situated on the left bank of the Gironde estuary in Médoc, France. The 300-year-old winery has been owned and managed by the Borie family since 1941. Stringent grape selection ensures the fruit, aged in French oak barrels, produces superior wines that are softly fruity and voluptuous, reflecting respect for the vineyards and the love of the land.

The One&Only Moonlight Basin dining venue, The Landing, is the perfect place to experience the featured wines in the Vintner Series. Offering an elevated alpine menu, the restaurant showcases farm-to-table ingredients presented with creative flair.

“The series was intentionally designed to engage seasoned collectors and those who simply enjoy wine and want to learn more,” explains Reynaud. “Together, we explore through opportunities to ask questions and gain a deeper appreciation for the featured wines.”
