Each summer, the Deer Valley Music Festival transforms Park City into one of Utah’s most inviting musical destinations, pairing the refinement of the concert hall with the ease and splendor of a mountain evening. The 2026 festival returns in July with a wide-ranging season presented by the Utah Symphony, offering performances at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater and the more intimate St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

The festival opens July 17 and 18 with Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, led by Utah Symphony Music Director Designate Markus Poschner. With the Utah Symphony Chorus and vocal soloists joining the orchestra, Beethoven’s great hymn to fellowship and joy provides a stirring beginning to the summer season beneath the Wasatch sky.

Poschner continues his festival appearances on July 22 at St. Mary’s with an all-Mozart program featuring Concertmaster Madeline Adkins in Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 2, paired with the composer’s radiant “Jupiter” Symphony. On July 25, he returns to the Mainstage for Stravinsky’s dazzling Firebird Suite and a performance with the genre-defying string trio Time for Three.

At the center of the festival is the Utah Symphony itself, a storied American orchestra whose artistry has long animated the cultural life of the state. In Deer Valley, that artistry takes on a singular summer character: vivid, convivial and expansive, with the mountains serving as both backdrop and atmosphere.

The Mainstage season continues with an eclectic lineup that includes Lyle Lovett on July 31, Chris Botti on August 1, Chicago The Musical in Concert on August 7, Idina Menzel on August 8, Famous Film Music on August 13 and The Music of Céline Dion on August 15.

The Chamber Orchestra Concerts at St. Mary’s offer a more intimate encounter with Utah Symphony musicians and guest artists. In addition to the July 22 Mozart program, the series includes Mozart, Prokofiev and more on July 29; Haydn, Mendelssohn and a viola concerto on August 5; and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 on August 12.
