Tequila With a Mountain Connection
Dano's Tequila shared an exclusive margarita recipe just for our readers
When you think of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, it’s likely that world-class skiing and mountain activities come to mind. How about tequila?
Dano’s Tequila began in Ski Town USA and has gained a major local and national following. The tequila maker developed out of Steamboat resident Danny Thompson’s basement, where he would experiment with infusing pineapple and jalapeño into agave blanco tequila. After success in his community, Thompson and CEO Chris Timmerman ventured to Mexico to grow the brand.
In the article titled “The 13 Tequila Brands We’re Drinking Right Now,” Rolling Stone recognizes Dano’s Tequila as “award-winning” and notes that Dano’s Añejo Tequila is “the ‘cognac of tequila’—best for sipping neat, or with an ice cube.”
