Take the Tour at Telluride Art + Architecture Weekend 2016
What’s better than a weekend in Telluride, Colorado? How about a weekend in Telluride celebrating the most unique and wonderful local art and architecture?
The Telluride Art + Architecture Weekend, July 16 – 17, 2016, is the ultimate home tour for the connoisseur. Linger at each venue for an intimate peek into the work of our local architects, designers, artists, and chefs who provide home tours, art exhibits, performances, and food and wine tastings at each stop on the tour.

Over the course of two days, the self-guided tour will span five different stops per day, 10 over the weekend. The tour will include new and historic homes, and one creative venue daily. Each venue will feature home tours with on-site architects and designers, tastings by local chefs with wine pairings in the kitchen, and rooms featuring the works of local artists.
There is much abuzz about the alternative venue this year: a Tipi Village in Elks Park. Tipis will be provided by the Colorado Yurt Company and the interiors will be designed by Studio Frank, Tweed Interiors, and Flair Robinson.
The tour will feature 8 gorgeous homes through which attendees can meander and be inspired. Plus, the Sheridan will reveal their new bar! Check out a map of the 2016 venues.

Two-day pass holders are given the chance to vote for the most brilliant project of the weekend at the end of the event on July 17. All ten teams showcased during the tour will be eligible for the Audience Choice Team Prize. Cast your votes at Basecamp.
Teams will be groups of at least 3 people featuring chefs, artists, including filmmakers, fine artist, performers, musicians, chefs, architects and designers. Venues can be studios, homes, restaurants or any other space that can be closed to the public during the tour.
Audience Choice Team Prize: $3,000 awarded to entire team/venue
Juried Individual Awards: $1,000 first place, $500 second and third places
NEW THIS YEAR! The Mountain Living Editor's Choice Award: recognizes the home with the most creative and functional architecture, craftsmanship, and interior design. The award also considers sensitivity of the design to the existing environment as well as integration of the interior and exterior design. The winner of the award will receive digital coverage of the home, published on MountainLiving.com.
