Spooky Sippin’: A Fall-Inspired Cocktail Recipe
This drink is the perfect addition to a Halloween party or a gathering this fall
With the autumn chill in the air, what better time to warm up with a fall-inspired cocktail?
We caught up with Tieghan Gerard, Instagram star and food blogger extraordinaire, and she shared with us an exclusive recipe for a festive cold-weather drink.
Gerard, a self-taught cook and author of the popular Half Baked Harvest food blog and a cookbook of the same name, recently published her second cookbook, Half Baked Harvest Super Simple (Clarkson Potter, 2019).
This spooky, adult-only drink is the perfect addition to a Halloween party. Mix it up and sip this sweet and smoky cocktail from a festive goblet.
1 1/2 – 2 ounces silver tequila or Mezcal
2 1/2 ounces cranberry juice
1/2 ounce orange liquor
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1 tablespoon real maple syrup
ginger beer, for topping
fresh thyme, for garnish
Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake until combined and then strain into a glass. Top with ginger beer.
Garnish with thyme. If desired, carefully light a thyme sprig on fire for a smoky effect.
