Snowmass Reimagined
Snowmass Base Village treats you to new restaurants, hotels and activities for a fabulous mountain vacation
Recently, I stopped by Snowmass to check out the reimagined Snowmass Base Village; it was buzzing with activity as the ski area prepared for Opening Day on Thanksgiving and the final touches were being added to the Village for the Grand Opening on December 15 and 16. I can’t wait to explore the vibrant village.
Here’s what’s new:

Phase one of the $600 million resort development, the largest resort base village under construction in North America, is complete with an ice rink and cool Airstream trailer for skate rentals, fire pit, new restaurants, the Limelight Snowmass Hotel and Residences, the Lumin Residences, a new public plaza, and One Snowmass. (Don’t miss Snowmass S’mores, free s’mores from 3:30–4:30pm every day throughout the winter season starting courtesy of Snowmass Tourism.)

Toro Latin Kitchen and Lounge
Two new restaurants include Toro Latin Kitchen and Lounge in the Viceroy Snowmass by Chef Richard Sandoval and State 38, a Colorado restaurant with farm-to-table flair by Chef David Dugan. Plus, the Crepe Shack by Mawa’s Kitchen in Snowmass Base Village opens on the new plaza next to the ice rink in December.

Limelight Hotel Reception

Limelight Hotel Lounge

Limelight Hotel Spa & Pools
The highly anticipated Limelight Hotel opens December 15, offering guests true indoor/outdoor living with doors that open onto the new base village. Calling itself "the basecamp for Snowmass adventures," the Limelight’s exterior climbing wall soars five-stories, the highest of its kind in Colorado.
The Limelight Lounge with a collection of cozy couches, fire pits and tiered patios extend into the plaza. The lounge will offer a menu of wood-fired pizzas, garden-fresh salads and a creative locally sourced entrées spun in internationally inspired ways.

Viceroy Hotel Lobby

Cafe V in Viceroy Hotel
Showcasing more than $4 million in renovations, the Viceroy Hotel and Residences provides a luxurious choice for discerning Snowmass guests. New to the Viceroy: a stunning 15-foot-wide fireplace in the lobby, Chef Richard Sandoval’s Toro Latin Kitchen and Lounge, Café V coffee bar and a revamp of the fitness facilities complete with glass walls providing natural light and slope-side views.
