Luxury Vacation Homes in the Mountains

If you plan to travel with family or friends this summer, you should consider a house rental. We’ve rented houses with friends multiple times; it’s not only fun, but it can be a cost-effective way to experience a luxurious home in a fantastic location.

This spring we stayed in a Moving Mountains property in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. This was our second stay with Moving Mountains. In the past, we’d stayed in their Diamond Peak Penthouse at One Steamboat Place.

Moving Mountains has a selection of 67 luxury vacation homes around the Steamboat Springs area. Whether you’re looking for a condo downtown or a private, secluded home, they’ve got you covered. They’ll even provide an in-home chef, if you wish.

Angler's Cabin

On our recent trip, we stayed at one of Moving Mountains’ newest properties, Angler’s Cabin, a unique and modern mountain mansion with an indoor endless lap pool, an in-ground trampoline, and its own large private pond. During the summer guests can use the pond for swimming, fishing, canoeing, and even stand up paddle boarding.

Moose sighting at Angler's Cabin

There was still snow on the ground during our stay so we didn’t fish, but we enjoyed the home’s other amenities and incredible views of Steamboat Resort. On one afternoon a family of moose decided to visit Angler’s Cabin and stuck around long enough for us to take loads of photographs.
