Utah Symphony | Utah Opera will launch the 2026 Deer Valley® Music Festival with a celebratory Opening Night Gala on July 17 at Snow Park Lodge, bringing together music, fine dining and philanthropy in one of Park City’s most anticipated summer cultural events.

Designed as an elegant mountain evening, the gala begins with a refined dinner featuring curated Russian River Vineyards wine pairings and live performances of Beethoven string quartet selections by musicians of the Utah Symphony. Guests will then attend a performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 led by newly appointed Music Director Designate Markus Poschner.

Widely regarded for his electrifying conducting and artistic vision, Poschner begins a significant new chapter with the Utah Symphony this season. Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, culminating in the iconic “Ode to Joy,” serves as a fitting centerpiece for an evening focused on celebration, community and artistic excellence. Following the concert, gala guests will gather for a festive after-party at Snow Park Lodge, extending the evening in true Deer Valley® style.

The Opening Night Gala also supports Utah Symphony | Utah Opera’s Park City Enhancement Fund, an initiative dedicated to sustaining and expanding the organization’s long-term summer presence in Park City. The fund helps ensure the continued growth of the Deer Valley® Music Festival while supporting future artistic programming and community engagement.
