Steamboat Springs, Colorado is known for its ranching community and high country style. Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club (AMRC), a 1216-acre luxury residential development adjacent to the Steamboat Ski Resort, hosted a Steak Ride in August.
Guests donned their best Western wear and gathered for an al fresco steak dinner, complete with tasty cocktails and horseback riding.
Mountain Living‘s very own Holly Scott and Amy Watkins were among the guests. We sat down with them to chat about the fabulous mountain event and the long-time partnership between Mountain Living and Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club.
Tell us about the Steak Dinner event at Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club
Amy Watkins: We arrived at the horse barn, mingled and met our horses. We rode our horses through the amazing property and learned more about AMRC. When we arrived picnic tables were spread out in a meadow overlooking Steamboat’s valley. We ate a wonderful steak dinner with the gentleman that raised the beef and ended the night around a camp fire listening to a cowboy play his guitar while we all sang along.
Holly Scott: Owning a home at AMRC is like owning a piece of paradise and it definitely seemed like the homeowners and ranch caretakers were a tight-knit community.
What was your favorite part?
AW: It was all amazing. The horses were gentle and easy to ride. The other attendees were all lovely and easy to talk to and the food was amazing. My favorite part was around the campfire listening to music and looking at the stars.
HS: I loved the beautiful horse ride up to the gourmet steak dinner!
What was your first impression of Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club?
AW: It’s a beautiful property, the staff is very inviting and friendly, the surroundings are breathtaking and the amenities are pretty spectacular. They truly care about the land and protecting it for years to come.
How does AMRC represent the best of Colorado and luxury high country living?
HS: The property and its surroundings are some of the most beautiful parts Colorado has to offer. The amenities are where the luxury comes into play. They offer ski in/ski out services at Alpine Mountain Summit Club including spa services and pool access. In addition, access to fly fishing and concierge services for golf, airport car service and more. We were also invited by AMRC to fish with a private guide but unfortunately had to get back to Denver.
Why is AMRC a great partner for Mountain Living?
AW: AMRC and Mountain Living both cater to mountain enthusiasts that want to live a life of luxury. ML‘s readers are AMRC’s current and future homeowners.
