Breckenridge Wine Classic 2018

An assortment of delectable wines and fare await in the beautiful town of Breckenridge, Colorado

For the third year in a row, the Breckenridge Wine Classic is returning in September and serving up world class flavors from Italian to Contemporary American. From September 13 – 16, 2018, the picturesque mountain town will feature over 500 different wine options paired with culinary delicacies and a wide range of booze.

The festival kicks off with The Best of the Fest showcasing a selection of the most acclaimed glasses of wine featured this year. Only bottles that are top tier make the cut for this tasting, so grab tickets to savor wine while noshing on cheese and petite desserts on Friday, September 14.

The Pinot Experience Hike & Lunch offers a scenic guided hike topped off with a well-deserved and rewarding lunch. On Saturday, September 15, make the two-mile trek up the backcountry terrain of Breckenridge for sweeping views followed by a wine tasting highlighting the diversity of a pinot noir.

Hiking not on the agenda? Head over to peak seven on Breckenridge Resort to the appropriately named Sevens Restaurant where they are hosting a special event called BEERunch mid-morning on Sunday, September 16. Roll out of bed for specialty brews and plates full of flavor from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.

Although wine is the headliner of this event, there’s other beverage options available such as Bird Dog Whiskey from Kentucky and even pear vodka from the local Breckenridge Distillery.

The festival concludes with the popular Grand Tasting event taking place in the Riverwalk Center on Saturday, September 15. Visitors can choose from options like the southern-inspired Low Country Kitchen to Denver-based restaurant Avelina while meandering the plaza in search of the perfect bite.

Restaurants like Hearthstone, Sauce on the Maggie, and Carboy at the Gold Pan Saloon are some of the many other choices that are set to serve delicious bites alongside creative cocktails and wine at the Wine Classic.
