An Ode to Classic Hollywood in the Mountains
What to expect at the 9th annual Sun Valley Film Festival
While it's known as America’s first ski resort, Sun Valley, Idaho, is more than just a winter oasis. Since 2012, the mountainside idyll has hosted the Sun Valley Film Festival, where the glitz of old Hollywood permeates the ski town's laid-back atmosphere.
The 2020 festival, sponsored by Ford, touts a stellar lineup of top-tier films, Hollywood stars and filmmakers. For movie fans who love to ski, SVFF offers the perfect opportunity to ‘ski and screen’, plus attend unique events like intimate panel discussions, competitions and parties to get fully immersed in the filmmaking process and fun social scene.
“We are a small but impactful film festival, one that has fast become a favorite of filmmakers and film fans,” says SVFF founder and executive Teddy Grennan. “What really sets this Festival apart is our low-key vibe, our innovative programs that foster the art of storytelling and the unmatched opportunities that attendees have to learn from the best in the business.”
