A Luxury Tiny House Community
By now you’ve probably noticed the tiny house movement—the trend of homes less than 1,000 square feet where people can live simply amidst beautiful surroundings. This notion is now being taken a step further, with tiny house communities.
One such venture is Tiny House Estates, born of an exclusive partnership between Wheelhaus, a tiny house company from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the 150-acre Traverse Bay Resort in Traverse City, Michigan.
The community boasts 81 private-view lots, 5,000 square feet each, which overlook a scenic wooded valley or cascading ponds with fountains. Buyers can choose between two different Wheelhaus designs: Caboose and Railcar.
RAILCAR

Railcar offers a rustic/contemporary 400-square-foot design with one bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/living room and a private deck.

CABOOSE

The Caboose offers an additional loft space. Both floorplans include outdoor living spaces with covered fronts and rear porches.

There is also the option to add a 200-square-foot, custom-built “bunkhouse” to the lot for extended space, guest quarters, or storage.
The Resort also includes a clubhouse, pool and spa, tennis courts, fitness center, and the legendary Grand Traverse Resort Spa & Casino, which is adjacent to the property—making sure that these downsized dwellers can still live large. Check out Tiny House Estates here.
