22-23 Ski Resort Opening Dates Across the Mountain West

Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, Mammoth Lakes, CA

One of the early openers, Mammoth Mountain‘s lifts start running on Nov. 11th. At 11,053 feet, Mammoth is the highest lift-served summit in California, with deep snow and beautiful vistas. Mammoth Mountain is also home to Woolly’s Tube Park and snowmobile excursions. The Mammoth Lodging Collection offers a wide selection of room options and luxurious homes with package deals designed to entice visitors to “stay where they play.”

Aspen Snowmass, Aspen, CO

Aspen Snowmass rises from the heart of Aspen, a historic mining town full of upscale dining, shopping and après ski options. Lodging is available with ski-in, ski-out access and Aspen Mountain offers quad-burning groomers and steep, scenic runs accessible via the Silver Queen Gondola and surrounding lifts. Visitors will enjoy powder tours, the Alpine Coaster, Snowcat Dinner Rides and sightseeing. The resort opens on Nov. 24th.

Big Sky Resort, Big Sky, MT

Located about halfway between Bozeman and West Yellowstone, Big Sky Resort opens its season on Nov. 24th. Passes are available for the 2022-23 season until Nov. 2nd. Visitors are urged to purchase individual lift tickets in advance as a limited number are available to accommodate skiers and snowboarders without resort crowding. Big Sky offers ski classes, guided experiences and specialty clinics for adults and kids. Snowbird Ski Resort, Alta, UT 

Snowbird Ski Resort has a base elevation of 8,100 feet and the highest point, Hidden Peak, at 11,000 feet, sits just 29 miles from the Salt Lake City airport. Snowbird Ski Resort celebrates 50 years as America’s most accessible ski destination. Featuring an aerial tram, Snowbird provides an extensive mountain experience for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. The resort offers nearby lodging, restaurants and bars to enjoy après ski. Snowbird opens on Nov. 30th.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Teton Village, WY

The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has fun on tap for the entire family. Opening Nov. 25th, the resort offers scenic terrain for outdoor enthusiasts, from beginners to experts. Guests are welcome to enjoy four Burton Stash parks and two natural terrain parks on the mountain. There is excellent intermediate terrain to choose from, and guests can book ski and snowboard lessons and camps to polish their skills and learn new ones.
