On Location in Jackson Hole

A stop at all of my favorite spots

After the Home of the Year party, I stayed an extra day to visit my favorite spots in Jackson.

I love to walk dogs along the Snake River with my friend Amy in any weather—winter, summer, fall—but autumn is the best when the weather is good. The temperature was 60 degrees, with that golden autumn light like butter, and while we walked along the dyke and spotted three bald eagles.

It was such a gift to see them flying along the river and one was sitting on what looked like a nest in a tree.

After the walk, I explored town, first stopping in Mountain Dandy—a wonderful home design store with the most unusual items from locations across the country. My friend purchased a signed Helmet Newton photograph, score!

And to finish the day, just down the street, I luxuriated at Grace Spa.

It’s convenient in-town location and relaxing ambience makes it a local’s pick, and it was just what I needed after the busy Home of the Year week and much walking!
