Guest Post: Holiday color combos you’ll love to decorate with

Rebecca Buchan, founder and principal of Denton House Design Studio, shares a few of her favorite festive color combinations for the holidays. The countdown has begun. The holidays are upon us and if you haven’t started decorating yet, now’s the time. This year, why not step outside of the traditional red-and-green color scheme you’ve relied on for years? Not only will changing out your holiday décor breathe new life into your space, it’s fun! And the holidays are the easiest time to try something new—because it’s only temporary! Not sure where to start? Allow me to serve up some inspiration with a few of my favorite holiday color combinations: Gold, silver and forest green:

If all else fails, start with your favorite holiday color and build upon it, creating something that’s uniquely you. Don’t want to give up on red? Can’t live without navy? As is the case with all design, there are no rules! No matter your style, if you love it, then it’s right. Happy Holidays!
