Forget the stuffy room with uncomfortable, generic furniture and uninspiring interior decor. There’s a new spot to host your next business meeting, and it’s not what you expect.

The Board Room at The Little Nell is now open for business, having been converted from a traditional meeting space into a speakeasy.

This hidden gem in the hotel is discretely set behind a bookshelf with a password required to enter. Once inside, you’ll find a contemporary den complete with an 88″ flat screen TV with 5.1 Klipsch sound system, plush couches, a bar area and regulation size pool table with a custom cover to convert it into a dinner table.

This private space is available as a buyout for lunch, après-ski, dinner, or a corporate affair, complete with food and beverage pairings. Upon booking online, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a password to present at The Wine Bar host stand, then given a key and directed to find the space (with assistance as needed, of course).

A talented team stands behind the transformation of the room, led by Chad Yates of Yates Construction & Consulting with Master Craftsman Phil Jolles. R+A Enterprises facilitated the lighting installation, designed by Emily Gordon Harvier of Elumenate Architectural Lighting Design. Lighting features include under-lit bar shelves and programmable LED light strips throughout the space to wash the room in any color desired.

Emily Campbell of Go Bella Design & Planning provided the finishing touches on the space, bridging Prohibition scrapwood and Depression glass with celebratory Art Deco design – a transition between two distinct eras. Remnants of lanterns, mismatched pillows and a couple of crow lamps reflect the pulling together of a special place made in secret.

Just like the crow which symbolizes change and transformation, The Board Room is a transformation of the intimate bar experience.
