A Must-Visit Yellowstone Restaurant Pop-Up
Acclaimed NYC Chef Philip Guardione brings Sicilian food and local ingredients to Red Lodge
Now’s your chance to experience a taste of Sicily in Montana.
Piccola Cucina, of the eponymously named, world renowned Italian restaurants led by Philip Guardione, returns for a Summer residency at Ox Pasture, bringing Sicilian food and local ingredients to Red Lodge, Montana, just outside the Northeast corner of Yellowstone.
Ox Pasture X Piccolo Cucina is at the heart of Red Lodge’s artisan food scene, where the locally raised world class beef is featured alongside produce and herbs raised in area farms.
Chef Philip Guardione works directly with nearby farmers and ranchers in order to bring to the table the freshest and safest ingredients. Raised in the kitchen of his Grandmother and in the shadow of Mount Etna, Guardione cooks with joy and expertise bringing the fresh and cozy flavors Sicilians expect to the table.
Conceived of by a fourth generation Montanan and his wife, whose vision was to create a place where everyone was welcome, that supported the food & retail culture of Red Lodge’s historical main street, and that focused on the produce of the region.
Foodies will once again enjoy the original Italian atmosphere and its flavors. The vast menu offers Sicilian specialties like the Arancini di Riso (Sicilian Rice Ball filled with Meat Ragu), Grilled Octopus and Homemade Meatballs; including also other authentic Italian plates like Lasagna al Ragu and Spaghetti alle Vongole (Spaghetti with Clams).
