Scale

Oversized pendants above a kitchen island give balance and visual weight and often serve as a striking statement piece that establishes the room with character and presence. In more intimate zones—cozy reading nooks, hallways, or powder rooms—scaled-down sconces and petite lanterns introduce charm and warmth, complementing the scale of the space with subtle sophistication.

Another compelling way to achieve this sense of visual interest is by introducing an unexpectedly large element into a small room, creating deliberate contrast that draws the eye and showcases the design. When appropriately scaled, lighting elevates the design and deepens the emotional connection with the space.
