Living in Luxury: The New Stein Eriksen Residences
If Stein Eriksen Lodge is the distinguished first-born child, the new Stein Eriksen Residences are its stylish new siblings. Named the World’s Best Ski Hotel in 2014 by the World Ski Awards, the lodge has provided grand accommodations in traditional mountain style for more than 30 years. The brand’s new residential offerings include all the luxuries of the lodge, but with a more contemporary look. “We’ve often said that if you were to build Stein Eriksen Lodge today, this is what it would be,” says Russ Olsen, CEO of Stein Eriksen Lodge Management Corp.
Set at the base of Bald and Flagstaff mountains in Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Village, the new ski-in/ski-out development includes 14 homes and 40 condominiums clad in natural stone and reclaimed gray wood siding. Think Architecture (Salt Lake City), Magleby Construction (Lindon) and Leighton Contractors (Salt Lake City) teamed up to create the open-concept spaces ranging from 2,100-square-foot three-bedroom condos to 7,000-square-foot five-bedroom homes.
Each residence is decked out with 12- to 20-foot-tall ceilings, wrap-around windows that show off sweeping mountain views, wood- and gas-burning fireplaces in master suites and living rooms, and a hot tub for après-ski soaks. To create the interiors’ chic updated look, Salt Lake City-based Denton House Design Studio decorated each fully furnished residence with either a warm or cool color palette, high-end fabrics in rich textures, and sleek marble surfaces throughout.
The residences’ list of all-inclusive amenities offers all the comforts of home—and then some: The main lodge welcomes residents with a restaurant and bar, outdoor lounge with fire pits, heated indoor/outdoor infinity pool, hot tubs, private ski lockers and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

The Stein Eriksen Residences’ 14 homes include great rooms with plush furniture custom-designed by Denton House Design Studio, fireplace mantels and hearths clad in Calacatta Caldia marble, and delicate Crown Major chandeliers from Nemo Italianaluce.

A master bathroom features a Waterworks freestanding tub and cascading Vector ceiling pendant from Zuo.
