Dreaming of Summer and a Big Catch at Fish On Ranch in Wyoming

With private access to two miles of the Little Larimer River running through the idyllic property, guided fly fishing excursions can result in the catch and release of 22-pound trout.

As well as the river, there are several managed lakes on the property, and the waters are home to Rainbow Trout, Brook Trout, Brown Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. Fishing at Fish On Ranch follows a strict catch and release policy and fishing outings must be guided.

All types of water can be found here including flat, rushing, and pocket water. Anyone is welcome including those who’ve fished for a lifetime to newbies just starting. It’s a true “River Runs Through It” type of experience.

Fishing isn’t the only thing available at this luxury guest ranch. There are three rentable luxury homes on the property. The Angler’s House sits on the edge of Habitat Lake and brings to mind images of living a “Yellowstone” life. It sleeps seven and offers a vast, wrap-around porch perfect for curling up with a good book or sitting contemplatively with a cup of steaming coffee.

Trapper’s Den also sleeps seven and is where modern luxury meets the Old West. Every window frames a view that’s a postcard of Wyoming’s beauty. Its proximity to the ranch’s main gathering areas makes it the most convenient of the three homes, but each comes with its own all-terrain utility vehicle.

Western life at its finest, Miner’s Cabin may be the smallest of Fish On Ranch properties, but it is the coziest. Romantically situated on the banks of the Little Laramie River, Miner’s Cabin sleeps four, is built from hand-hewn logs and is full of tidbits of Rocky Mountain mining history.
