Best of the High Country 2008

"The Best of the High Country" has always been one of our favorite issues of the year. After all, we get to hear from our readers what makes vacationing and living in the mountains such a joy. For the past nine years we’ve learned about your experiences, from the best places to stay and eat to little out-of-the-way galleries and boutiques and fun mountain adventures.

This issue is also a chance for us to share the exciting new discoveries we’ve made as we’ve traveled throughout the high country during the year—as well as some of our old favorites. We hope our picks inspire you to check out something new.
