The key to an amazing spring break is to find activities that result in lifelong family memories. Thankfully, it’s easy to make unforgettable memories in Colorado. Here’s a collection of Colorado spring trips that your kids will never forget, and neither will you.

SLED & ZIP LINE IN FRISCO:

When it comes to family travel, Frisco, Colorado, tops the list. While the town is definitely a gem, it certainly is not hidden; it's located along I-70, just an hour and 20 minutes west of Denver.

The entire family will enjoy thrills at the Frisco Adventure Park, which is mere minutes from most of the town’s lodging properties. The park’s attractions during winter months are the multi-lane tubing hill and beginner ski and ride hill, which are both serviced by an easy-to-ride surface lift.

There’s also an onsite Nordic Center for cross country skiing, as well as horse and sleigh rides by Two Below Zero.

Another exciting option is to book an outing at  Top of the Rockies Zip Line. Just 26 minutes from Frisco, this is one of Colorado’s most thrilling zip line adventures and one of the only zip line excursions in the state that is open during the winter.

After a day on the slopes, the family can swim and soak at Glenwood Hot Springs, recently named “Best Hotel Pool” by Sunset Magazine and USA Today.

In addition to skiing, the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park makes a terrific family outing that includes hair-raising rides and magical cave tours.

DOG SLEDDING & MORE IN GRAND COUNTY:

Grand County, Colorado is a Mecca for wintertime fun. From snowmobiling in Grand Lake to skiing in Winter Park to dog sledding at Snow Mountain Ranch, the list of winter activities available in this area are endless.

An all-inclusive stay at Snow Mountain Ranch allows a family to participate in boundless activities from ice skating to sledding. Or take an outing to one of the nearby ski resorts of Granby or Winter Park.

A stay in Grand Lake means ice fishing, easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park, guided snowshoe outings, and much more. A small and charming town, many locals use snowmobiles to get around Grand Lake in the winter.

A stay in Winter Park means carving up the slopes at Winter Park Resort with breaks to enjoy the offerings of a fabulous town that include shopping, fine dining, a bit of nightlife and lots of winter festivals.
