The Land of Enchantment has a rich and complex history, a stark and stunning landscape, and a cultural diversity not found in many other parts of the country. Creative types like D.H. History buffs must visit the Taos Pueblo, a Native American community that has been continuously inhabited for more than one thousand years.
Realtors in both Taos and Santa Fe have reported a slowing of the market that is following the national trend, but Santa Fe’s median home prices have held steady or increased in the first quarter of this year. Taos, which includes Taos Ski Area, has struggled in the first part of 2007, with sales of both homes and land down from 2006. However, median and average sales prices are up—always a good sign that demand is still strong.
