How to Enter

Have a spectacular high-country photo that you’d like to share?

The editors of Mountain Living invite photographers of all levels of expertise to enter the Mountainliving.com Photo of the Month Contest.

Each month, the editors of Mountain Living will select one photo that best captures a memorable moment in the high country. The winning photo will be posted online at mountainliving.com.

Here’s what to do:

Read the rules below, then send your digital image via e-mail to photocontest@mountainliving.com. Please note that prints, slides or disks sent by regular mail will not be considered or returned.

1. Please include the following details with your submission: your name and e-mail address, a title for the photo, a brief statement that includes your thoughts about the photo, where the photo was taken, when it was taken and the equipment used to take it.

2. Entries may be color or black-and-white digital images. Images should be no larger than 800 by 600 pixels at 72 dpi and no smaller than 640 by 480 pixels at 72 dpi. Entries must be emailed. Please do not send prints or slides to Mountain Living.

3. You must be the sole author and owner of the copyright for all photos entered. Images must not have been digitally altered in any way.

4. Only one photo may be entered each month. No photo may be entered more than once each year.
 
5. The editors of Mountain Living will choose the winners. The editors' decision on all matters relating to the competition is final.

6. A photo submission is your agreement that the photo may be displayed at mountainliving.com without renumeration.

7. The deadline for entries is the last day of each month.
