On October 5, The American Society of Interior Designers Intermountain Chapter geared up for a Western-themed interior designer event to honor exceptional work done by members and non-members in their division. This two-day celebration of style brought together eager students and design veterans for new resource possibilities, stimulating décor ideas, and a showcase of Jackson Hole mountain culture.

The main venue was the Spring Creek Ranch–a picturesque Wyoming destination, with sweeping views of mountain peaks visible from just outside the massive cabin-style properties.

Award: Best Overall Residence

The invitation list included designers, architects, students, and industry partners from all across Idaho, Montana, Utah, and Wyoming to get together and acknowledge the residential and commercial talent, all whilte getting the most out of the vast ASID professional network. Some of the informational seminars included guides like a how-to on selling luxurious lifestyles from Hansgrohe at Mountain Land Design or tips on using marble in the kitchen presented by Walker Zanger at Earth Elements.

Attendees then had the chance to check out a vendor show, network at the “Learning Lounge” and enjoy a cocktail hour before the Dinner and Design Excellence Awards back at Spring Creek Ranch. There were five different winning categories within residential homes judged, including best speciality room, kitchen, and overall residence, and commercial designs judged, including  best healthcare or hospitality spaces.

Award: Best Specialty Room

After the award ceremony, the keynote speaker was the prominent Los Angeles-chic designer, Jake Rodehuth-Harrison of ETC.etera, with a discussion of his style career history and how livability, practicality, and trends go hand in hand.
